No, that’s not stupid emo bullshit. I have a terrible fucking headache. I didn’t even drink last night.

Meanwhile, I thought I would try to write something here, because it’s better than work. My head is pounding, but I can’t tear myself away from the Television Personalities. I can see why Dr. Frank likes them as much as he seems to. Dan Treacy has an amazing voice for one, even though it doesn’t sound like it at first. Going along with that, the music is wonderful, and the lyrics are great too. It’s pretty much all I’ve been able to listen to lately. Well, TVPs and The Mountain Goats (also incredible for the same reasons)

Enough of that though. Ben and I may be starting a website soon. About VIDEO GAMES. We are awesome. If it ever gets off the ground, I will be sure to post about it here.

Plan for tonight:
Work until I can’t work no mo’
Go to the gym so I’m no longer a slob
Try to play guitar, most likely fail
Try to draw, do same.

This weekend though..I am making motherfuckin’ soup. Word.

I added in the footer a “song of the moment” where I will post an mp3 of a random song I like. It will change whenever I feel like it, which might be as often as once a day, but no more than that. So yeah, feel free to download and enjoy!

As I assume nobody read either of the stories I posted before, I will not bore my readers (both of you) with any more.  Instead, I will talk about stupid things.

Example! I want to learn how to cook better. I enjoy cooking quite a bit, and people have said that I can cook okay. However, I always feel like everything I cook is lacking. I would take a cooking class but I am too poor/lazy/fucking awesome for that. Instead, I will try to make one recipe a week that has been made by Alton Brown on Good Eats. Seeing as I will possibly do that for 1 week (two, if I’m lucky) I will admit my failure now and settle for “at some point, I will make something that Alton Brown made. And at some other point further down the road, I will make another.”

That sounds a bit more likely.

Here is another story that I absolutely love by H. G. Wells.  I just copied the entire text here. It’s public domain now, I believe, anyway.  This one is slightly longer, but again, really well worth the read.  I love it, and you should too.

surprise surprise, i quit that comic strip idea, too. i should really find something that i can do that’s creative, though.

I would like to write again, but I don’t know how to start or what to write about.

I am listening to The Time Machine by H.G. Wells on audiobook while I work. I have read the book probably a dozen times, but I always enjoy it. The problem with it is that every time I read it (or in this case, listen to it) it hits me that nothing I ever try to write will ever be as well crafted. Everything about the book is outstanding. Wells has a great way of describing things..getting you to see and feel what he writes. It is amazing, and I will forever be in awe. I have tried to describe scenes, feelings, et cetera in writing (or even aloud) but can never get it right. Wells..he is a master. I am nothing in comparison.
I meant to write a lot more about him, but I don’t know what else to say. So I’ll leave you with my favorite short story of his. It’s well well worth the read, only about 4 pages. Hopefully you have access to Acrobat and can read pdf files. If you read it, let me know what you think.
